QR code opt-in uses a QR code that users scan with their mobile devices to access an opt-in form or pre-composed text message.

Required Documentation:

  1. QR Code Image: Provide the actual QR code image.

  2. Destination: Explain what happens when the user scans the QR code:

    • Web Form: If it links to a web form, provide the URL of the form (as with WEB_FORM opt-in). Screenshot of the form is also acceptable.

    • Text Message: If it opens a pre-composed text message, describe the message and the subsequent confirmation process. Example: "QR code opens a text message pre-filled with 'JOIN COFFEE'. User sends the message. They receive a confirmation message: 'Reply Y to confirm...' User replies 'Y'."

  3. Screenshot/Image: Provide a screenshot or photo showing where the QR code is displayed.

Example:

"[QR Code Image] QR code displayed on a table tent. Scanning the QR code opens a text message pre-filled with 'JOIN COFFEE'. [Screenshot of table tent]. [Screenshot of confirmation message]."

NOTE: If you choose MOBILE_QR_CODE, you must provide the QR Code in the OptInImageURLs document.
