CallingPost makes it easy to import your contacts from an Excel spreadsheet (.xls or .csv). Here's a simplified guide:

1. Prepare Your Spreadsheet

Below is an example of how your spreadsheet should be set up.

  • Format: Make sure your spreadsheet is in .xls or .csv format.

  • Headers: The first row should clearly label each column (e.g., First Name, Last Name, Phone Number).

  • No Special Characters: Avoid using special characters (commas, dashes, symbols) in your file name.

  • Clean Up Your Data (Optional):

    • Remove any hidden code by copying and pasting values into a new spreadsheet.

    • Eliminate duplicate entries.

    • Check for and correct any inconsistencies in phone numbers or emails.

2. Import Your Contacts

  • Go to Groups & Contacts: In your CallingPost account, navigate to "Groups & Contacts."

  • Select Your Group: Click on the name of the group you want to add contacts to.

  • Add New Contact: Choose "Add New Contact" from the group menu.

  • Choose File: Click "Choose File" and select your spreadsheet.

  • Import: Click "Next" and then select the headers you wish to "Import."

3. Wait for Confirmation

  • You'll see a green banner when your import starts and another when it's complete. Large imports may show progress updates.

Pro-Tips for Smooth Importing:

  • Smaller Imports: For best results, import 2,000 contacts or fewer at a time.

  • Filters: Use filters in your spreadsheet to easily sort and review your data.
