If you are an AT&T customer using the ActiveArmor security service, your automated calls (robocalls, appointment reminders, or alerts) may be blocked at the network level. This guide shows you how to adjust your settings to ensure these important calls reach your phone.

Why are my calls missing?

AT&Tโ€™s ActiveArmor (formerly Call Protect) is a built-in security feature that automatically filters calls it identifies as "Fraud" or "Spam Risk." Because automated alert systems dial many numbers at once, AT&T sometimes mistakenly flags these as fraud and sends them straight to voicemail or blocks them entirely without your phone ringing.

How to Fix It in the ActiveArmor App

The most effective way to receive your calls again is to adjust your "Network Call Preferences" within the app:

  1. Open the AT&T ActiveArmor app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap the Calls icon at the bottom.

  3. Select Network Call Preferences.

  4. Check "Fraud Calls": This is often set to "Block" by default. Change this to Flag or Allow.

  5. Check "Nuisance Calls": Tap this category and ensure that "Account Services" or "Other" are set to Allow.

  6. Review your Block List: Tap My Block List to ensure the calling number (e.g., XXX-XXX-XXXX) wasn't accidentally added.

Quick Tip: Add to Contacts

Even with security apps active, AT&T is much less likely to block a call if the number is in your address book. Add XXX-XXX-XXXX to your phone's contacts to help the network recognize it as a "Trusted Caller."
