What is an "Undelivered" Email?

An undelivered status occurs when our servers attempt to send a message, but the recipient's server or our internal safety checks reject it.

Common Failure Reasons

Reason

Description

Invalid Address

The email contains a typo, the domain is dead, or the account no longer exists.

Bounced (Hard/Soft)

The recipient's mailbox is full, the server is temporarily down, or the address is permanently blocked.

Spam Content

If the Spam Checker app is enabled, our system may block content that looks like a phishing attempt or marketing spam.

Unsubscribed

The member clicked the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of a previous email.

Spam Reporting

The member (or their provider) flagged our mail as malicious. This places the address on an internal suppression list.

Advanced Resolution Steps

If a member is on a suppression list due to a "Spam Report," a simple re-subscription link may not work.

To fully clear a blocked status:

  1. Direct Email: The member must email [email protected] stating: "I mistakenly marked CallingPost emails as spam. Please remove this complaint."

  2. Verification: The member should then go to the Re-subscription Link to re-verify their intent to receive mail.

  3. Removal Request: If the member wishes to be permanently deleted from a specific sender's list, they should reply to the sender with: "Please remove my email address from your CallingPost system."
