Learn how to Add contacts using a Text Keyword

Text keywords make it easy for people to join your group by simply texting a word to a designated number.

There are two ways to create and use text keywords:

1: Creating a New Group with a Keyword (Streamlined)

This method is the quickest way to get started. When you create a new group, for contacts to join via a text keyword

2. Creating a Keyword Separately (For Existing Groups)

This method lets you create a keyword and attach it to an existing group

Navigate to Text Keywords: From the left navigation menu, click on "Text Keywords."

The Following steps are the same for both methods above.

  1. Create a New Keyword: Click the button to create a new text keyword.

    1st Keyword vs Add additional keyword:

  2. Enter the Keyword: Type in the keyword you want to use

    Keywords must be between 4 and 32 characters and must contain only letters and numbers.

  3. Attach to a Group: Select the group you want to attach the keyword to from the dropdown menu.

4. Save: Save your keyword and its association with the group.

General Keyword Tips:

  • Keep it Short and Simple: Choose a keyword that's easy to remember and spell.

  • Avoid Special Characters: Stick to letters and numbers.

  • Check Availability: Make sure the keyword isn't already in use.

  • Promote Your Keyword: Let people know about your keyword so they can join your group! Include it in your marketing materials, website, and social media.
