Increase your answer rates by using a phone number your members already recognize. People are much more likely to pick up a call from a familiar number.

Why Use a Custom Caller ID?

  • Build Trust: Recipients recognize your organization’s number immediately.

  • Higher Engagement: Members are more likely to listen to the full message if they know the sender.

  • Marketing Requirement: Per federal regulations, any marketing or promotional calls MUST use a verified custom Caller ID rather than the CallingPost default pool.

How to Add and Verify Your Number

You can add your own number as a Caller ID through two different areas:

Option 1: In System Settings (Recommended)

  1. Click the Down Arrow in the top right corner and select System Settings.

  2. Click Add New Caller ID.

Option 2: While Sending a Message

  1. In the Additional Phone Messaging Options section of the message builder, look for the Caller ID dropdown.

  2. Click Add New Caller ID.

The Verification Process:

  • Enter the phone number you wish to use.

  • Choose to receive your verification code via Text or Call.

  • Enter the code provided and click Submit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use a landline or office number? Yes, but if the number has an automated menu (IVR) and you cannot receive the verification code, please call us at 877-665-5646. We can manually vet and approve the number for you.

  • Is there a limit to how many numbers I can add? No. You can add as many verified numbers as your organization needs.

  • Can I set a default? Yes. Once a number is verified, you can set it as your "Default" in System Settings so it is automatically selected for every new message.

  • Can I delete a number? Yes. You can manage and remove your Caller ID numbers under your User Profile.

Pro-Tip: If you are targeting a specific geographic area, use a number with a local area code to significantly increase your answer rates!
